I didn't like. My rating is one star. Sauvagya Ranjan Bhanja Sep, Rahul Sep, In this book Prof Bose has shown to the world netaji in his truest form. The "revered leader" as he is known had a unparallel political foresight,a true genius who had command over international polity, domestic polity etc. Most of his suggestions were adopted during and after the independence of India like formation of plannin Siddhabrata Das Certified Buyer Jun, Everyone thinks they know who Subhas Chandra Bose was - until you pick up Prof Bose's book and realise you don't!

Certain souls are born to do somthing and Netaji is one of them.

His Majesty's Opponent: Subhas Chandra Bose and India's Struggle Against Empire

Yet to finish this book.. Language is simple and I am discovering Bose in a much more philosophical way. May be if he could have come.. Siddhartha Sur Certified Buyer Dec, Definitely the book highlights the political philosophy of Netaji quite nicely but it doesn't point out many vital issues connected with his life and freedom struggle.

It neither describes the political scenario of Bengal clearly during the period when netaji was active in politics nor does it discuss the strength and weaknesses of Netaji in his political career. Most importantly the book is surprisingly silent about the mysterious disappearance of Nejati from the stage, rather it tries to co Sugata Bose deserves a "big pat" for penning a classic.

This book will surely be remembered for opening up a new Subhas - an intimate Subhas, in love, penning romantic letters. The lucid style of story telling does justice to the personality Subhas Chandra Bose was and will always remain in the psyche of a million Indians.
